HACKING IS A MINDSET, NOT A SKILLSET: EXPERIMENTS IN LOOPHOLES, LARPING AND PRONOIA

This class offers an invitation to play—exploring thought experiments framed by Pronoia, the opposite of paranoia. Pronoia is the belief that the world conspires in your favor. Through this lens, students will become hackers; learning to navigate and dismantle self-imposed and systemic barriers, in their activism, relationships, creative practices, and daily lives. The goal is to reclaim agency, rediscover self-authorship, and remember the power of fun amid the horrors of capitalistic hellworld.

The curriculum includes mini-games, writing prompts, show-and-tell, social engineering dares, integration playstations (homework), and re-imagined Theatre of the Oppressed exercises. Together, we will explore how to transform our self-perception, squish limiting beliefs, and sew seeds of possibility, opening portals to [???????]
